A Worshiping Church

Worship
We believe that God is to be the center of one's life and that worship is the primary way to come into the presence of God and to celebrate the good news of Jesus Christ.  Gathering for worship is essential for a person's spiritual formation and a congregation's vitalaity and ministry.  Everything flows from dynamic, vibrant worship as a community in Christ.

For this reason we seek to provide worship experiences that blend the Christian faith and heritage passed down to us with contemporary expressions with diversity, creativity, intentionality and relevance.  Using a variety of forms, our content is centered in CHrist, rooted in Scripture, shaped by tradition, and responsive to contemporary life.  Our worship seeks to touch the whole person...heart and mind, spirit and body.

Each Sunday morning offers two services, different in style, form and setting, yet the same in content and message.

8:30 - Chapel service provides more informality and intimacy, as well as more congregational singing, special music and lay participation.

11:00 - Sanctuary service includes more tradition and pageantry.  The choirs participate in this service, along with various instrumental offerings.

The chapel and sanctuary are located through the building entrance from Quarrier Street.  If you will enter the Narthex through these doors, the sanctuary is directly before you and the chapel is to your left.

In addition to Sunday services, Wednesday night services are conducted throughout the year at 6:45 p.m.   Special services are held during Advent and Lent.

We believe not only gathered worship to be essential, but also private worship.  Devotional material is made available for personal spiritual practices throughout the week during a special season, such as Lent.
